Alabama Games (aka Alabama Sports Festival) = 6/21/14

Open to Senior Mens and Womens Clubs from Alabama as well as high school teams from Alabama and surrounding states. Also open to middle school and elementary school children from anywhere. Stay tuned for details.

Note to High School Teams: Please fill out a CIPP roster and waiver and bring them with you. See below:

2. Liability/Waiver Form (only required from high school teams)

   

Who: Boys High School, Men's College, and Men's Clubs. We had the schedule posted here, but a few teams backed out in the last 2 days, so we will have the final schedule at the admin tent Saturday morning.

What: The 30th Annual Vulcan 7s Tournament

When: June 29, 2013. Mens Captain's Meeting at 8:30 and High School Captain's Meeting at 9:00 am. First Mens kickoff at 9:00 am and first HS match at 9:40.

Hotels: If you are a ref, we have already reserved rooms for you. Ask Alex Sharland about the info. If you are a player or fan, we don't have any Rugby discounts this year, but we recommend either:

1. "Courtyard By Marriott Hotel Downtown UAB" at 1820 5th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233 which is walking distance from the party (long walk) or

2. LaQunita Inn at 60 State Farm Pkwy, Homewood, AL 35209 which is NOT walking distance from the party but still a good option.

Food: We wil NOT be selling food or drinks this year but there are plenty of fast food places within a few miles. You're also welcome to bring in your own. Refs, don't worry you'll be fed.

How Much: Entry fees are $250 for Mens Clubs and $200 for Womens Clubs if paid before June 15, 2013 or $300 and $250 after. We are cutting a special deal for high school teams this year only. $50 for first team. Second team from the same club is free.

Saturday 6/29/13 =

- 9:00 AM = Captain's Meeting

- 9:20 AM = First Match

- 7:00 PM = After Party is at Zydeco (2001 15th Ave S). Sorry but this party EXCLUDES the high school players.

- 11:00 PM = The "After-After" Party for anyone still left standing is at Nana Funk's. Please take cabs or use a DD if you have been drinking. This party also EXCLUDES high school players of course. Sorry.
